About the Role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and innovative Material Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role is essential for overseeing selection, testing, and quality control of materials used in infrastructure projects, ensuring specifications and safety standards are met. The Material Engineer will select and procure materials aligned with project requirements and industry standards, conduct and oversee material testing, and monitor performance throughout construction. They will maintain detailed records, collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers for timely delivery, and perform site inspections to verify proper storage, handling, and installation. Additionally, they will identify material‑related risks, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and provide training on material handling and quality control. • Select and procure materials based on project requirements and industry standards. • Conduct and oversee testing of construction materials for quality compliance. • Monitor material performance during construction and recommend adjustments. • Maintain comprehensive records of material testing, inspections, and approvals. • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery. • Perform regular site inspections to verify proper storage, handling, and installation. • Identify and mitigate material‑related risks such as delivery delays or non‑compliance. • Ensure material use complies with environmental regulations and sustainability goals. • Provide training to site engineers and construction teams on material handling and quality control. • Stay current with material technology developments and incorporate best practices.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with professional engineering certification preferred. Proven experience in material engineering for infrastructure projects, strong knowledge of aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and metals, and expertise in testing and performance monitoring are required. Proficiency with material analysis software, familiarity with UAE codes and standards, and excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English are essential. The role also demands a detail‑oriented, innovative mindset focused on sustainable, cost‑effective solutions and a willingness to work on‑site. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. • Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE) is preferred. • Demonstrated experience in material engineering for infrastructure projects. • Strong knowledge of aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and metals. • Expertise in material testing, quality control, and performance monitoring. • Proficient with material analysis software and documentation tools. • Familiar with UAE industry standards, local building codes, and regulations. • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and English communication skills. • Innovative mindset for cost‑effective and sustainable material solutions. • Willingness to work on‑site and conduct field inspections.
