About the Role
The Deep Draw/Udylite Operator works under the Fabrication Unit supervisor and is also referred to as the Automation Technician (Machine Operator III – Valve Assembly). The role is responsible for maintaining equipment uptime, supplying valve assemblies to production lines, and completing required training documented on the Marinette Operations Training Matrix. Key duties include setting up deep draw, trimming, piercing, Udylite, and grit‑blast machines; performing daily calibrations, quality inspections, and recording test data; conducting preventive and predictive maintenance; and troubleshooting mechanical or hydraulic issues. The operator also handles material movement, housekeeping, and supports peer training. Employees must comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, including lock‑out/tag‑out after six months, participation in safety training, incident reporting, and proper handling of hazardous materials and waste. They are expected to act as safety coaches and follow emergency procedures. • Set up, operate, and maintain deep draw, trimming, piercing, Udylite, and grit‑blast machines. • Perform daily preventive and predictive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues. • Conduct quality inspections, calibrate test equipment, and record production data. • Ensure proper material flow and replace tooling, filters, and wear items as needed. • Follow safety protocols, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and report incidents promptly. • Meet physical demands of standing, walking, and handling 3–10 lb blanks. • Participate in training and cross‑train on other Machine Operator III roles.

What You Bring
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate good judgment, basic mechanics, mathematics, and computer skills. The position requires standing, walking, lifting 3–10 lb blanks, and working in awkward positions.
