CAD Drafter

About the Role

The drafter will create and update multiple project drawings concurrently, review and approve third‑party consultant work, and present revisions to ensure stakeholder satisfaction. They will apply knowledge of field concepts, practices, and code compliance across city, county, state, and international jurisdictions. Additional duties include preparing files for submittals, permits, change orders, and construction documents, as well as managing CAD standards and file organization. • Produce and maintain residential drawing sets using AutoCAD and Revit for multiple projects simultaneously. • Review and approve work from third‑party design consultants and make revisions as needed. • Ensure architectural deliverables meet code compliance, CAD standards, and project schedules. • Prepare drawings for submittals, permit approvals, field change orders, and construction documents. • Manage CAD files and documentation in accordance with company specifications.

What You Bring

Lennar is seeking a CAD Drafter to produce and maintain residential working drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. The role requires proficiency in both software platforms and a solid understanding of single‑family and multifamily residential construction. The position supports zero‑defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules. Applicants must have at least two years of drafting experience in a high‑volume homebuilding environment and preferably two to four years of AutoCAD experience in the architectural discipline. An associate’s degree or higher in Architecture, Drafting/Design, or a related field, along with a valid driver’s license, is required. Strong computer skills—including Microsoft Word and Excel—attention to detail, motivation, and the ability to handle feedback in a team setting are essential. • Minimum 2 years drafting experience in high‑volume homebuilding; 2–4 years AutoCAD experience preferred. • Associate’s degree or higher in Architecture, Drafting/Design or related field; valid driver’s license required. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; detail‑oriented with ability to meet simultaneous deadlines.
