About the Role
The Carpenter Helper assists skilled carpenters and carpenters foremen by performing supportive duties under direct supervision. This role involves using hand and power tools to help design, construct, erect, install, and repair wood, plywood, and wallboard structures. The helper seeks opportunities for improvement, learns safety hazards, and works in plant operations or construction jobsite settings. • Assist carpenter in laying out work • Lift, position, secure, and cut materials during installation • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment • Ensure work area remains stocked with necessary materials • Assist other craft workers as needed • Operate hand and power tools with proper training and authorization • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds • Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintain attention to detail

What You Bring
Candidates must have the physical ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), possess good hand/eye coordination, and be able to operate various hand and power tools after training. They must climb and balance on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds, and work in diverse weather, uneven terrain, or confined spaces. Effective communication, decision‑making, attention to detail, and the ability to concentrate amid distractions are also required. • Push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) • Work in various weather conditions, uneven surfaces, or confined spaces
