Associate Engineer - Mechanical Engineer
Design and develop LV switchboard, panel, and busbar mechanical systems using CAD tools.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role involves hands‑on mechanical design of low‑voltage electrical distribution equipment such as switchboards, panelboards, MCC/PCC panels, and busbar systems. You will develop detailed busbar assembly models, drawings and bills of material, design special fabricated parts using AutoCAD and 3‑D CAD tools, and manage engineering change requests. Additionally, you will load manufacturing data into ENOVIA, maintain design standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. • Design LV electrical distribution equipment (switchboards, panelboards, MCC/PCC panels). • Perform calculations and select busbar sizing, enclosures, and mechanical mounting assemblies. • Create detailed busbar assembly models, drawings, and BOMs for the switchboard product line. • Design special fabricated parts using AutoCAD and 3‑D CAD tools (Inventor) and coordinate material routing. • Release engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) for the mechanical team as needed. • Create and edit bills of material to ensure accurate material demand for purchased and in‑house components. • Upload manufacturing documentation to ENOVIA via Plant Order Manager for internal and external access. • Adhere to mechanical design standards and drawing nomenclature for the switchboard line. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive design objectives and sustain products.
