About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems essential to warehouse operations, including low‑voltage electrical systems, conveyor belts, cardboard balers, and forklifts. The ideal candidate is safety‑conscious, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced, industrial environment. The role demands strict compliance with OSHA, LOTO, and internal safety standards, active participation in safety meetings, and support for sustainability initiatives through the maintenance of energy‑efficient equipment. • Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage electrical systems (sensors, switches, motors). • Troubleshoot and repair cardboard balers (hydraulics, motor components, control panels). • Repair and maintain conveyor belt systems (rollers, motors, belts, drives). • Diagnose and repair forklifts (basic diagnostics, electrical fault codes, fluid checks). • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures. • Maintain work logs, maintenance records, and part inventories. • Support facility projects including installations, upgrades, and relocations. • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs and servicing. • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and internal safety standards. • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to reduce downtime. • Participate in 5S workplace organization and continuous improvement efforts. • Comply with LOTO, PPE, and workplace safety rules at all times. • Actively participate in safety meetings and hazard identification. • Support sustainability goals by maintaining energy-efficient equipment.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, with technical certification preferred, and possess at least two years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in waste management or warehouse settings. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with material handling equipment, and the ability to read schematics are required. • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred. • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (waste management or warehouse environment preferred). • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems. • Experience with balers, forklifts, conveyors, or other MHE required. • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) a plus. • Able to read schematics and electrical diagrams. • Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in a non-climate-controlled environment. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights occasionally. • Willingness to be on-call or work flexible shifts as needed.
