Design civil water infrastructure projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks.

About the Role
Key responsibilities include using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Navisworks to produce designs, drawings, reports, and specifications; assisting with quantity take‑offs and cost estimates; collaborating with project teams and mentoring junior staff; liaising with project managers to monitor schedules and costs; and ensuring compliance with Stantec’s quality, safety, and environmental standards. The role also involves supervising less experienced staff, contributing to recruitment, and managing performance and career development goals. • Design civil water infrastructure such as dams, reservoirs, pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants. • Produce design drawings, reports, specifications, and maintain design documentation. • Assist with quantity take‑offs and cost estimating for project planning and construction phases. • Collaborate with project teams, seek guidance, and provide mentorship to junior staff. • Supervise and support less experienced team members and contribute to recruitment efforts. • Liaise with Project Managers and Technical Leads to monitor schedule, cost, and issues. • Ensure compliance with Stantec’s quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures. • Exercise independent judgment to resolve unusual technical situations. • Manage day‑to‑day technical support activities and performance development for direct reports.

What You Bring
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks (and optionally Revit, Plant 3D) for drafting and modeling. • Hold a civil engineering degree or TAFE qualification with relevant experience. • Minimum 8–10 years of multidisciplinary mechanical, civil, or structural design drafting. • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks; understanding of Revit and Plant 3D is beneficial. • Strong problem‑solving, negotiation, and technical writing skills. • Ability to adapt and create innovative solutions.
