About the Role

Daily assignments are completed as scheduled, including on‑site service and repair of equipment, with an expectation to meet at least 70 % of estimated repair times. The technician must follow standard OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices, read electrical and mechanical drawings, collaborate with other departments, manage waste generated from work, and complete the First Solar Maintenance Technician 1 training program. • Perform facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance efficiently. • Conduct on‑site equipment service and repairs, achieving ≥70 % of estimated repair times. • Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards on all tasks. • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals. • Collaborate with other departments and manage waste generated from work. • Complete the First Solar Maintenance Technician 1 training program.

What You Bring

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate’s degree in a technical field preferred. Candidates must have at least six months of First Solar manufacturing experience, or six months of outside manufacturing, mechanical, agricultural, or military experience; recent vocational high school graduates may also be considered. The role requires verifiable technical skills, demonstrated troubleshooting ability, and proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidates should possess proven communication skills, the ability to work with little supervision, and knowledge of manufacturing equipment, electro‑mechanical systems, electrical, mechanical, vacuum, and robotics systems. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, or walking short distances for up to 12 hours per day, frequent stair climbing, and the ability to lift up to 58 lb occasionally and 37 lb frequently. Vision of 20/40 in each eye (corrected or uncorrected) and the ability to distinguish red, yellow, and green are required, along with the use of personal protective equipment such as steel‑toed shoes, cut‑resistant gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. All candidates must meet the education and experience criteria, excel in the listed responsibilities, and successfully complete a background check and any other required tests. • Hold a high school diploma; associate degree and relevant manufacturing experience preferred. • Demonstrate troubleshooting, electro‑mechanical, and computer (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills. • Work with minimal supervision and communicate effectively. • Meet physical demands: lift up to 58 lb occasionally, stand/walk up to 12 hours, and use required PPE.
