About the Role
Drivers operate various heavy‑duty trucks to collect and transport waste and recyclable materials, handling large containers and navigating complex residential and commercial environments; roles include Commercial, Residential, and Roll‑off drivers. All drivers must adhere to safety regulations, complete vehicle inspections, report issues promptly, and participate in required training and route planning activities. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, completing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs). • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, property damage, and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and implement best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure complete discharge of receptacles, leaving sites clean of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring
• Required: Minimum one year operating a CDL‑required vehicle or equivalent military driving within the past seven years; at least 18 years old; legal work eligibility; Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement. • Preferred: High school diploma or GED. • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
