About the Role

In this role the AE uses a consultative retention approach to generate shareholder value among Small/Medium Business customers, developing and executing retention strategies, negotiating contracts, and expanding revenue within an assigned territory. • Serve as primary contact for assigned customer accounts, fostering long‑term relationships and high satisfaction. • Align Waste Management products and services with customer needs, proposing compliant solutions and increasing account penetration through consultative selling. • Negotiate, update, and renew service agreements, educating customers on contract details to maximize profitability. • Resolve challenging customer requests and work with the Inside Sales Manager to address escalations. • Communicate rates, charges, and service strategies, applying incentives and concessions within profit targets. • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory and refer additional WM business internally. • Utilize Waste Management sales productivity software (Salesforce, pricing tools) accurately and consistently. • Prepare reports and handle general administrative duties as needed.

What You Bring

The position prefers candidates who are bilingual, able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently. Fluency in Spanish is required to be qualified for this role. • Required: High School Diploma or GED; minimum 1 year WM experience or 5 years B2B account management. • Preferred: Bilingual fluency in Spanish (read, speak, write). • Demonstrated ability to convert cancellation requests, build relationships, negotiate, and communicate with high impact. • Proficient time management, computer skills, planning, organization, and financial acumen.
