About the Role
In this role the technician will handle deed plots, import survey points, and prepare boundary survey plans, existing conditions plans, and route surveys, while also preparing and revising tax maps and following the company's CAD standards. • Create accurate Basemaps and Existing Conditions plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software. • Create surfaces from points utilizing Feature Lines. • Create profiles and cross sections from surfaces. • Ensure plans comply with company CAD standards. • Prepare new Tax Maps for municipal clients and revise existing tax maps. • Maintain organized project records and documentation for future reference.

What You Bring
The Phillipsburg, NJ office is seeking a skilled Survey CAD Technician who possesses a solid understanding of civil engineering and land surveying principles and can create precise 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred), proven experience in a similar technical role, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (MicroStation knowledge is a plus). A strong grasp of civil engineering and land surveying terminology, excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential, and a technical school certificate is preferred. • Working knowledge of points and point groups. • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred. • Proven experience as a Survey CAD Technician or in a similar technical role. • Proficient with 2D and 3D AutoCAD Civil 3D software; knowledge of MicroStation is a plus. • Strong understanding of civil engineering and land surveying principles, terminology, and standards. • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. • Highly attentive to detail, ensuring the accuracy of plans. • Certificate of completion from a Technical School preferred.
