Job Highlights
About the Role
• Design overhead and subsurface utility systems according to specifications, codes, and client requirements. • Apply engineering judgment to independently solve complex electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges. • Coach and mentor entry‑level engineers in their professional development. • Perform peer reviews of engineering designs under professional supervision. • Own all phases of the design lifecycle from project initiation to construction closeout. • Prepare detailed drawings and documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset‑management platforms. • Analyze topographical surveys, utility atlases, field sketches, client records, and equipment datasheets. • Produce clear technical reports and studies to meet client requirements. • Collaborate with project management and engineering leadership to manage project risk. • Conduct field walkdowns with internal staff, clients, authorities, and construction partners; travel as needed (<25%).

What You Bring
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related ABET‑accredited degree. • EIT certification preferred. • Minimum of 2.5 years relevant engineering experience. • Valid U.S. driver's license and work authorization. • Proficiency with Office 365 and 2D CADD software (AutoCAD or similar). • Experience reviewing drawings and mentoring junior staff. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams. • Familiarity with remote communication tools and rapid project onboarding. • Persistence, adaptability, and willingness to travel as required. • Experience in peer‑review processes under professional engineering supervision. • Advanced project and risk management exposure. • Enhanced client communication and technical reporting duties. • Field experience via walkdowns and stakeholder interactions.
