About the Role
The Instrument and Controls Technician IV reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for maintaining and repairing all plant instruments, controls, and electrical equipment across the Steam, Paxton Generation, and Harrisburg Cooling facilities. • Calibrate and repair pneumatic and electronic pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters, instruments, controls, and DCS systems. • Program and troubleshoot PLCs. • Perform electrical work in the three facilities as needed. • Develop Process & Instrument Designs (P&ID) and instrument specification database sheets. • Produce, maintain, and manage calibration and repair records in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, environmental, corporate, and insurance requirements. • Select and coordinate with vendors for instruments and control systems. • Troubleshoot electrical wiring, motors, VFDs, and other low‑ and medium‑voltage equipment. • Assist the Lead I&C Technician with tasks as required. • Participate in plant staff, safety, training, and other meetings. • Mentor employees to improve their knowledge, skills, and effectiveness. • Represent the company to the public and customers. • Comply with Energy Center Harrisburg’s safety and environmental policies and procedures. • Support Operations, Distribution, and other Maintenance Department employees as needed. • Work in adverse climate conditions, confined spaces, and at heights. • Write work orders in the plant CMMS system. • Lift up to 50 lb as part of job duties.

What You Bring
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a two‑year Electrical/Electronic technology degree or five years of documented experience. • Maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. • Read electrical, electronic, and piping schematics and technical instructions.
