About the Role

The manager will own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and design through experimentation, deployment, and scaling—while implementing backlog, sprint cadences, stage gates, and product KPIs to shorten time-to-market. They will coordinate cross-functional squads of data engineers, analysts, security, compliance and domain experts, and manage external partners as needed. Operational responsibilities include operationalizing ethical AI practices, defining release criteria, runbooks, monitoring, and fallback controls for safe large-scale operations. Technical ownership includes MLOps implementation (CI/CD for models, feature stores, experiment tracking, observability, drift detection) and ensuring alignment with the Microsoft Fabric-based data mesh and enterprise platforms. The manager will partner with integration teams to connect AI services to operational systems such as ERP, financials, estimating, and project controls, and will drive business partnership, use-case selection, value targeting, and adoption plans. People leadership is a core component: hiring, coaching, and developing AI engineers and full-stack developers, fostering a high-trust, learning-focused culture, and establishing clear roles, goals, and career paths in line with Mortenson leadership principles.
