About the Role

The incumbent will provide training to the construction project team and subcontractors on safe work practices, enforce EH&S policies, and identify and control hazardous conditions to prevent injuries and property damage. • Educate and train construction teams and subcontractors on EH&S programs, policies, and safe work practices. • Promote compliance with company, federal, state, local regulations and project contractual requirements. • Build relationships with project team members and subcontractor safety representatives. • Contribute to the development and enforcement of the overall project safety program. • Conduct pre‑construction planning meetings and review subcontractor safety programs, pre‑task plans, and job hazard analyses. • Ensure subcontractors receive OSHA‑compliant training and facilitate worker orientation. • Create and analyze safety reports, metrics, and recommendations for improvement. • Lead safety meetings, maintain toolbox meeting logs, and distribute meeting minutes. • Perform safety audits, issue violation reports, and recommend corrective actions. • Evaluate training needs and advise subcontractors on improvements. • Support reduction of project incident rates and maintain zero citations. • Administer drug‑screening programs in line with company and owner requirements.

What You Bring

This role is based in Monroe, LA within Turner’s Critical Facilities‑Data Centers division. It is a regular, salaried exempt position classified as experienced and falls under the Environmental Health and Safety job family. An associate’s degree is required and the job is listed as experienced level. The position demands physical capabilities typical of construction environments, including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 25 pounds, and navigating varied work sites while adhering to safety policies. • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with at least two years of construction safety experience. • CHST certification required or attainable within two years of hire. • Completed OSHA 30‑hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications. • Knowledge of safety/environmental principles, regulations, and general construction operations. • Ability to identify hazards, propose corrective actions, and demonstrate leadership and teamwork. • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail. • Ability to follow directions, meet commitments, and travel as needed with reliable transportation.
