About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver end-to-end project controls services for large, complex projects, establishing success criteria for time, cost and performance. Responsibilities include implementing governance processes, leading a cross-functional controls team, maintaining the risk register, applying KPI-based performance management, managing change control and project finances, and coordinating project information flow as the primary client interface. The role also supports the centre of expertise in developing PMO controls services and ensures delivery meets quality standards, client objectives and contractual conditions. • Deliver end-to-end project controls services for large, complex infrastructure projects. • Establish and monitor success criteria for time, cost, and performance. • Implement project governance, processes and systems throughout the lifecycle. • Lead a cross-functional controls team in a matrix environment. • Maintain the risk register and assess risk components and variations. • Apply KPI-based performance management techniques to improve outcomes. • Manage change control processes and advise on project finances. • Coordinate the flow of project information and act as the day‑to‑day client interface. • Support the centre of expertise in developing and implementing PMO project controls services. • Ensure projects meet quality standards, are delivered on time, within budget, and align with client objectives.

What You Bring
We are seeking Associate Director-level Project Controls professionals to work on major infrastructure projects and programmes in London and the South East. The roles are suited to specialists with experience in rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence sectors. Required qualifications include a relevant technical degree and management certifications, proven experience in project controls for construction or infrastructure delivery, and expertise in planning & scheduling, cost management, risk and change control. Candidates must be proficient with Primavera P6 and cost-management systems such as Prism and Unifier, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of mentoring and developing junior specialists. • Hold a relevant technical degree and management qualifications. • Demonstrate proven experience in project controls for construction or infrastructure delivery. • Expertise in planning & scheduling, cost management, risk and change control. • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and cost‑management tools such as Prism and Unifier. • Ability to mentor and develop junior specialists. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
