About the Role
The Shop Technician services and maintains the company's equipment and vehicles, ensuring appropriate inventory to meet customer needs. They provide industry‑best customer service for equipment drop‑offs and pickups, and ensure all equipment is serviced per manufacturers’ specifications and meets company standards before leaving the branch. The role also oversees day‑to‑day shop and yard operations and assists with deliveries and pickups as needed. • Follow all safety rules and regulations. • Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements in the shop and yard. • Maintain equipment per manufacturer's recommendations. • Keep decals and warning labels on equipment clearly legible. • Maintain sufficient rental inventory daily (e.g., sandbags, barricades, panels, signs, etc.). • Service and log maintenance of arrow, message, and PTS boards upon return. • Perform daily equipment servicing: wash, repair, organize. • Keep the yard organized each day. • Report inventory needs to the Manager for reordering. • Complete proper paperwork for equipment drop‑offs and pick‑ups. • Fill out and maintain daily paperwork/reports. • Report to the Manager each morning to prioritize projects. • Delegate shop tasks to staff and keep everyone busy. • Maintain clean shop and yard daily (housekeeping). • Ensure rental equipment is clean and stored in designated areas. • Assist drivers with loading and unloading as needed. • Use forklift only for loading/unloading and submit daily service report. • Load and unload all customers promptly and check for arrivals. • Provide support across departments as needed. • Submit all paperwork to the Dispatcher at day’s end. • Keep branch radio on in the yard for dispatch contact. • Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

What You Bring
Candidates need a high school education and at least two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They must possess strong problem‑solving, analytical, and evaluative skills, hold a valid state driver’s license, and be able to meet the demands of a fast‑paced role.

Benefits
The position pays $22.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience, and expects a 45+ hour work week with variable hours depending on workload and travel.
