About the Role

A Driver‑CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, the driver ensures the vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards, adheres to all state and federal regulations while operating, and completes daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly. Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of the vehicle, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and report any safety issues on standard reports. Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route, reading the route sheet, following the map, and servicing each customer as assigned. Operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at the designated facility, while courteously interacting with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service. Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them per departmental procedures, and continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material. Clean any accidental waste spills while adhering to safety standards, and regularly clean waste from the packer blade and truck body to keep the vehicle operationally ready. Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports, maintaining productivity standards and participating in the Company’s ReSOP program.

Minimum requirement is a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with an air brakes endorsement.
