About the Role

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the main responsibilities of the Electrical Coordinator are to coordinate the work related to their activity (collector system and/or substation) and to ensure that permits are obtained. More specifically, they act as an expert in the development of the collector system and optical cables. Coordinators are required to travel to the construction site on rotation. We have various sites across Quebec. Working with the Project Manager, the Electrical Coordinator prepares contracts, assists the Electrical Superintendent, confirms engineering requirements, validates work progress, and coordinates construction with various stakeholders. They also oversee glue‑system installation, grounding tests, quality‑control programs, compliance inspections, material procurement, and safety initiatives. • Prepare contracts for subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants under the Project Manager’s guidance. • Assist the Electrical Superintendent in coordinating collector‑system activities. • Confirm and coordinate electrical engineering and maintenance requirements with field crews and sub‑contractors. • Validate collector‑system progress and produce regular monitoring reports. • Coordinate construction activities with the electrical superintendent, environmental engineer, subcontractors, municipal and regional representatives, and the developer/client. • Oversee installation of the glue system (tree cutting, water crossings) with the project engineer. • Coordinate grounding and soil testing with external laboratories. • Develop and implement a quality‑control program for collector‑system work. • Ensure compliance inspections and adherence to technical procedures, including locking and labeling. • Follow up on material purchases, receipt, and inventory for project execution. • Support the Prevention Officer in implementing the traffic‑control program and overall safety measures.

What You Bring

The role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical training, 3–5 years of experience, strong IT skills, fluency in French and intermediate English, high mobility, team management abilities, autonomy, leadership, and a valid driver’s license. • Hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical training. • Possess 3–5 years of experience in similar electrical coordination roles. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other IT tools. • Fluent in oral and written French; intermediate English for national communication. • Demonstrate high geographical mobility and availability for construction site work hours. • Exhibit strong team management and conflict‑resolution skills. • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
