About the Role

The Vice President of Finance will oversee the entire Finance Department, including Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, and the owner’s Family Office Controller. They will lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the CEO, COO, and other key leadership, ensuring timely and accurate monthly close. They will monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize working capital, and manage capital structure, including debt and equity financing, while evaluating investment opportunities. The role also requires maintaining effective communication with ownership, lenders, and other financial stakeholders, and sustaining robust banking and insurance relationships that give GFO Home a competitive advantage. • Oversee Finance Department functions: Accounting, FP&A, and Family Office Controller. • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to CEO, COO, and leadership. • Monitor cash flow, ensure liquidity, and optimize working capital. • Manage capital structure, including debt and equity financing, and assess investment opportunities. • Maintain communication with owners, lenders, and financial stakeholders; nurture banking and insurance relationships. • Lead and develop high‑performing finance teams.

What You Bring

GFO Home is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance. The role will serve on GFO Home’s Executive Team and be the senior ranking Finance position within the company. This pivotal position requires a leader who embodies integrity, leadership, and has the executive presence and experience necessary to lead this business‑critical work group. The ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (strongly preferred) with 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the homebuilding industry. They must have proven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, a strong understanding of land and lot acquisition and development financing, and a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing finance teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential. • Hold CPA certification (preferred) and 15+ years of finance experience, with 5+ years in senior homebuilding leadership. • Demonstrate expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and land acquisition financing. • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
