About the Role

• Safely operate and maintain line pump equipment • Place, spread, and finish concrete to specifications • Perform pre‑trip inspections of fluids and equipment • Fill truck with water and prepare drum for concrete • Receive delivery tickets and add fibers or other products as directed • Check slump and mix of concrete • Drive truck safely to job sites with desired slump • Maneuver truck in uneven terrain; backup or pull into sites • Lay and connect line pump hoses • Unload concrete courteously and obtain signed tickets • Wash truck in designated area per contractor requirements • Complete paperwork promptly • Refuel truck each evening and conduct post‑inspection walk‑around • Participate in safety initiatives as a safety ambassador • Assist boom pump team when assigned

What You Bring

RMC is hiring an experienced Concrete Line Pump Operator/Concrete Finisher for the Rolling Mix Concrete West End Plant. The role involves delivering ready‑mix concrete to construction sites and residential areas, operating line‑pump equipment safely, and ensuring quality workmanship. Operators may be required to work overtime depending on business and weather conditions. Work schedules follow customer demand, so start and end times vary day‑to‑day; drivers often work long days and must be available for overtime and weekends. The position is field‑based, requiring travel between the plant and job sites, use of PPE such as CSA‑certified steel‑toe boots, and completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing. • RRSP program • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement and clean abstract • Prior experience as concrete line pump operator or finisher (asset) • Knowledge of finishing tools, equipment, and methods • Ability to work long hours, overtime, and weekends • Physically fit for year‑round outdoor work; lift 50 lb unassisted • Safety‑conscious, reliable, punctual, and detail‑oriented
