About the Role

The Maintenance Technician at Cascade Apartments supports residents by ensuring quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, and timely service. This role is a key part of delivering superior customer service within the Cushman & Wakefield portfolio. Key duties include preparing make‑ready apartments (painting, carpet repair, cleaning, and general repairs), responding promptly to resident requests, and performing routine maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal when needed. The technician also maintains grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities, and may be on call for after‑hour emergencies. • Prepare make‑ready apartments: paint, repair carpets, clean, and perform general repairs. • Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests with a professional attitude. • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks. • Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities. • Provide on‑call after‑hour emergency support as required. • Report maintenance issues in vacant units, model homes, and common areas to the supervisor. • Follow state, local, and federal fair‑housing regulations. • Attend required training programs and adhere to company dress and safety standards. • Maintain reliable on‑site attendance and report any tardiness promptly. • Read and interpret policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. • Apply basic math and problem‑solving skills to routine tasks. • Write routine reports and correspondence.

What You Bring

The position requires a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 certification (minimum Type II and CPO), and the ability to read manuals, compute rates, and follow safety procedures. Strong problem‑solving skills, basic math proficiency, and the capability to produce routine reports are essential. Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade/technical education, and at least one year of related maintenance experience. The job operates in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment, and requires travel between properties in various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, lifting up to 100 lb, and being on one’s feet for the majority of the shift. • Hold a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type II/CPO certification. • Possess a high school diploma/GED or equivalent trade/technical education. • Bring at least one year of related maintenance experience. • Lift up to 100 lb, stand or walk for extended periods, and travel between properties up to 10% of the time.
