About the Role

The Equipment Mechanic supports Blue Hat Equipment operations by performing routine and non‑routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role ensures equipment reliability, documents repairs, and coordinates parts and communications with internal and external partners, all while aligning with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values. The position operates within a structured decision‑making framework, referring exceptions to a supervisor. • Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostic inspections, and repairs on construction equipment per manufacturer specifications. • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns on‑site or remotely, communicating effectively with field operations. • Document maintenance activities accurately and enter data into the work order system. • Order, receive, organize, store, and distribute equipment parts and supplies. • Provide timely communication to internal and external partners via phone and email regarding maintenance issues. • Utilize MS Office and learn the accounting system for data entry. • Deliver excellent customer service and collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate knowledge of engine oil changes, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and basic electrical functions. • Meet the education requirement of a High School/GED (or equivalent) and preferably complete an apprentice or vocational training program. • Possess at least 2 years of mechanic or maintenance experience (preferred).
