About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role supports front‑end sales by converting leads into sales‑qualified opportunities. You will use practical product knowledge and tools such as RS and BOL to address basic customer queries, manage the “D‑Digital” segment in Salesforce, and meet both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to drive order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. The position follows a hybrid work model and is based in Bangalore, India, focusing on Robot & Discrete Automation. You will manage inbound leads from campaigns like trade shows, social media, and email marketing, pre‑qualify prospects, and route qualified opportunities to partners, cobot experts, or sales executives. You will work with Sales Operations to maintain accurate lead‑opportunity data in Salesforce, source new opportunities through outbound prospecting, and collaborate with channel managers and business developers to monitor pipeline health and partner performance. • Manage inbound leads generated from trade shows, social media, email marketing, and other demand‑generation activities. • Pre‑qualify customers and assess product fit before routing opportunities to partners or sales executives. • Maintain accurate lead‑opportunity‑booking data integrity in Salesforce in partnership with Sales Operations. • Source new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, emailing, and networking. • Collaborate with channel managers and business developers to monitor pipeline health and track partner performance. • Lead and coordinate Lead Management processes with regional and local sales teams. • Act as Deal Manager to ensure clear internal communication and smooth progression of deals through proposals, legal, factory, and product teams. • Identify and automate sales process tasks to increase efficiency and front‑end sales effectiveness. • Partner with Sales Operations to define and track KPIs, deal progress metrics, and overall pipeline health. • Conduct pre‑reviews for risk management compliance, ensuring complete and accurate information before approvals. • Prioritize deals based on strategic direction from Sales Leadership, aligning with business goals and customer priorities. • Deliver an excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle, ensuring responsiveness and issue resolution. • Ensure compliance with ABB’s Code of Conduct, safety standards, and regulatory policies. • Build strong relationships across divisions and countries to support cross‑functional teams.

What You Bring

We seek candidates with a bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of experience in sales or commercial operations, proven lead‑management leadership, and strong deal‑management capabilities. You should be able to automate sales processes, define and track KPIs, manage risk‑review pre‑approvals, prioritize deals in line with leadership direction, and ensure excellent customer experience and compliance with ABB’s code of conduct. Collaboration across divisions and countries, relationship‑building, and familiarity with portfolio management, GTM strategy, pricing, and sales enablement are also important. • Apply knowledge of portfolio management, GTM strategy, pricing, legal compliance, sales enablement, and channel sales.
