About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports the Assistant/Chief Engineer and Senior Facilities Manager in daily maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment for the client. This role ensures HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate safely, energy‑efficiently, and with minimal downtime, while upholding Cushman & Wakefield’s ethical standards and Business Code of Conduct. Primary duties include executing preventive maintenance work orders, conducting routine inspections, and performing major repairs on HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, and evaporator coils, as well as plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems. The technician also handles boiler, heater, pump, valve, refrigerant, air‑compressor, water‑filter, and elevator maintenance, and services sanitary sewer, trash compactors, and kitchen equipment. The role requires strict compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety policies, including proper use of PPE, hazard recognition, and emergency response. The technician maintains inventory, records, and monthly operation reports, manages a company vehicle’s registration, insurance and expenses, and may travel for emergency events or work in controlled environmental vaults. • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems. • Conduct major HVAC repairs (compressor, condenser, evaporator coil replacements) and plumbing replacements (water piping, steam traps, sewage lines). • Execute electrical tasks including conduit installation, cable pulling, panel maintenance, and motor predictive maintenance. • Inspect and report on interior/exterior building conditions, roofs, flooring, fixtures, and lighting. • Operate and maintain boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated control devices. • Service building automation systems, fire/life safety equipment, and sanitary sewer/sump pump systems. • Perform general handyman duties: toilet repairs, lamp replacements, ceiling tile removal, door hardware maintenance, painting, and filter changes. • Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and recommend improvements to preventive‑maintenance programs. • Ensure compliance with all codes, regulations, safety procedures, and company policies; use proper PPE. • Compile and submit monthly operational reports to management. • Manage company vehicle maintenance, registration, insurance, and expense reimbursement. • Respond to emergency situations and travel as needed, including work in underground Controlled Environmental Vaults.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED; an apprenticeship or trade‑school graduation is preferred, and possess at least four years of building‑engineering experience. Required credentials include a valid driver’s license, relevant trade licenses (e.g., Journeyman/Electrician, Steam Engineer) and EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerants.
