About the Role
The Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between contractors, Energy Delivery Scheduling, Regional Operations, and Billing/Receiving, facilitating clear communication and timely issue resolution. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor performance, creating invoicing review processes, and escalating business risks as needed. The role also supports the Contractor Safety Management Program (CSMP) by providing training, compliance checks, and participating in the standby response team for unplanned system events. Key duties involve maintaining alignment with corporate and regulatory compliance, especially CSMP and the Environmental Management System, and collaborating with Procurement to develop contracting strategies and negotiate agreements in accordance with NS Power policies. The Coordinator will develop and present performance metrics and reports, track deliverables against contracts and purchase orders, and review contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance, approving or escalating discrepancies. • Serve as lead contractor liaison and coordinate communication among contractors, Energy Delivery Scheduling, Regional Operations, and Billing/Receiving. • Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, including Contractor Safety Management Program (CSMP) and Environmental Management System (EMS). • Develop contracting strategy, administer contracts, and support procurement negotiations in line with NS Power policies. • Prepare and maintain performance metrics and reports, monitoring deliverables against contracts and purchase orders. • Review and analyze contractor invoices, approve compliant invoices, and escalate deficiencies.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a college or university diploma, with project‑management certification, Oracle Fusion experience, or utility‑industry background considered assets. The role requires a valid Nova Scotia driver’s licence for travel and field site visits, and occasional after‑hour emergency support. Success in this position depends on strong document and records management, multitasking, communication, analytical, and Microsoft Office skills, as well as proficiency with project‑management tools such as Oracle, SharePoint, or Maximo. • Hold a college/technical diploma or university degree; project management certification or Oracle Fusion experience considered assets. • Prior experience in electric utility or contractor services; valid Nova Scotia driver’s licence required for travel and field visits. • Strong document/records management, communication, organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills; proficient in Microsoft Office. • Proficiency with project‑management software such as Oracle, SharePoint, or Maximo is an asset.
