About the Role

As an Electrical Testing Specialist within Hubbell’s Field Services team, you will ensure the quality and compliance of electrical power systems and related equipment at customer job sites. The role focuses on detailed analytical tasks and testing of protective relaying equipment, electrical panels, and other devices installed in equipment enclosures within substations. • Perform functional and final acceptance testing on electrical panels by interpreting schematics and customer standards. • Use testing equipment and power supplies to inject proper voltages and currents, preventing wiring or design errors. • Install customer‑provided relay settings and upgrade relay firmware as required. • Ensure all processes and documentation comply with quality procedures and customer requirements. • Work safely around energized electrical equipment, following safety protocols.

What You Bring

The position requires frequent travel, with more than 90% of time spent on‑site at customer locations. You will work safely around energized equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. • Minimum three years of experience testing electrical equipment. • Possess NFPA and OSHA safety certifications (or ability to obtain them); NETA certification is a plus. • Understand three‑phase power principles and operation of relaying devices. • Proficient in relay test software and programming microprocessor‑based relays. • Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, plus leadership and collaboration abilities.
