About the Role
The Laborer plays a vital role in supporting plant and quarry production activities by ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operation of material handling systems. This hands‑on, safety‑focused individual performs equipment cleaning, maintenance assistance, and housekeeping to keep production running smoothly. Key responsibilities include routine cleaning of plant equipment, assisting with material handling tasks, operating tools such as skid steers, supporting operators and maintenance crews, conducting inspections, and adhering to MSHA/OSHA safety standards. The Laborer also provides flexible relief in areas like rail unloading, stockpile management, and general repairs as needed. • Perform routine cleaning of plant areas, conveyors, crushers, screens, and other equipment. • Assist with material handling tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, and washing down areas. • Operate skid steers, shovels, and other tools to clear excess materials around the plant. • Support operators and maintenance crews in daily tasks and assigned projects. • Aid maintenance crews during scheduled and emergency repairs. • Help with lubrication, minor adjustments, and basic mechanical tasks under supervision. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑shift inspections of fluids, wear indicators, and belts; log checks and report issues. • Follow MSHA/OSHA safety standards and company policies; wear and maintain proper PPE. • Participate in safety meetings and promptly report hazards. • Assist operators with monitoring material flow and clearing blockages. • Provide relief in areas such as rail unloading, stockpile management, and housekeeping as needed. • Perform additional tasks directed by supervisors, including roadway maintenance, general repairs, and ground upkeep.

What You Bring
Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in industrial, construction, or mining environments. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $40.00 per hour, determined by location, skills, and experience, with an emphasis on internal pay equity. • Adapt to dynamic assignments to support overall site needs.
