About the Role
Key duties include setting and communicating a three‑year strategic plan, aligning the unit with platform objectives, and driving growth through both business development and M&A integration. The leader ensures the unit meets or exceeds annual revenue and EBITDA targets, oversees budgeting, and monitors core metrics such as book‑to‑burn, overhead rate, and net DSO while maintaining 30‑50% utilization levels. Additionally, the leader champions employee engagement, eNPS, and a collaborative culture across the Trilon family of firms. • Align business unit strategy with platform vision and develop a 3‑year One‑Page Plan. • Lead and grow the unit while collaborating with other Business Units and the Platform President. • Drive integration and execution of add‑on M&A opportunities. • Ensure annual and quarterly financial targets, focusing on Net Service Revenue and EBITDA growth. • Promote a culture of fiscal acumen, improving metrics such as book‑to‑burn, revenue factor, overhead rate, and net DSO. • Supervise staff, evaluate project performance, and maintain 30‑50% utilization through project reviews. • Prioritize business development toward high‑potential markets, clients, and cross‑selling opportunities. • Advocate for sustainable infrastructure and increase client, industry, and thought‑leadership engagement. • Maintain high employee engagement and eNPS scores, fostering a people‑first environment. • Partner with the Platform President to achieve headcount growth, career development, and retention goals.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, science, planning, landscape architecture) and have at least ten years of leadership experience in a multi‑service engineering or science organization. Proven track record of P&L ownership, strategic thinking, financial discipline, and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders is required. The role also calls for a low‑ego, coachable attitude, high self‑awareness, and a commitment to fostering equity and belonging. • Require a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least 10 years of leadership in an engineering/science services firm. • Demonstrate strong managerial, financial, and analytical skills with a data‑driven decision‑making approach. • Exhibit superior communication skills with stakeholders, regulators, and media. • Be coachable, low‑ego, and possess high self‑awareness.
