About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineering Lead will guide engineers in launching, commissioning, and scaling Busway assembly operations. This role advances factory assembly processes, promotes consistency, and shares knowledge across lines. Key duties include reviewing product designs for manufacturability, creating and implementing various assembly line models, and designing automated material handling solutions. The leader provides hands‑on support on mixed‑model shop floors, applies lean manufacturing principles, and drives structured problem‑solving using DMAIC. Additional responsibilities involve managing engineering change notices, developing work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, and validation plans, as well as training production personnel. The role also facilitates VSM workshops, Kaizen events, and prepares capital equipment requests. • Lead engineering support for Busway assembly launch, commissioning, and scale‑up. • Review designs for manufacturability and completeness. • Design and implement semi‑automated, flexible cell, one‑piece flow, and batch assembly line models. • Create highly automated material‑handling systems to improve material flow. • Apply lean principles to mixed‑model lines, standardize work, and drive continuous improvement. • Conduct DMAIC problem‑solving to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes. • Manage engineering change notices, work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, and validation plans. • Train production staff on new and existing processes. • Facilitate VSM workshops, Kaizen events, and prepare capital equipment requests.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, has at least three years of manufacturing or technical engineering experience, and is proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, plus the ability to work independently and achieve goals, are essential. • Require Bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SAP. • Demonstrated problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and leadership abilities. • Ability to work independently and meet assigned objectives.
