Apprentice - Indentured

About the Role

As an Indentured Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of a journeyman-level electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The role is designed for individuals pursuing a career in the trade with Facility Solutions Group. • Gather tools and supplies for work sites. • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit. • Trace short circuits in wiring. • Assist with lifting, positioning, and fastening wiring, conduit, and motors. • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, supplies, and parts. • Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment; dispose of scrap and excess material. • Secure, relocate, and organize materials and small tools in storage areas. • Pull wire and hoist materials under supervision. • Operate hand tools and equipment as directed by a foreman. • Support senior electricians with installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a High School Diploma or GED, a current State Apprentice Electricians License, and a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check. The position requires strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, a positive customer service attitude, and the ability to multitask. Attendance in the apprenticeship program is mandatory, and while at least six months of experience is preferred, experience in lighting is a plus. • Mount and strap conduit. • Do not work on energized circuits or equipment.
