About the Role
The Seal Coating Laborer prepares asphalt surfaces for sealcoating, crack filling, and striping. The role involves using hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and wheel barrels to perform asphalt repairs after surfaces are prepared. Key duties include operating heavy equipment, participating in safety meetings, and ensuring site safety and traffic control. The laborer also inspects, cleans, and maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and maintains a clean job site. • Operate heavy equipment (trucks, screeds, rollers, pavers, finishing and curbing machines, front‑end loaders) to apply asphalt products per job specifications. • Participate in on‑site safety meetings and all company‑provided training. • Coordinate with the foreman or crew leader to ensure site safety and traffic control before work begins. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. • Report equipment problems or malfunctions to supervisors or shop personnel. • Set up and dismantle equipment as required for each job. • Maintain a clean and organized job site, securing tools and equipment daily. • Utilize hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and wheel barrels for seal coating, crack filling, and other repairs. • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift objects constantly, handling loads up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb rarely. • Operate machinery and power tools occasionally.

What You Bring
The position requires constant standing, walking, and manual handling, with the ability to lift objects up to 50 lb regularly and heavier loads occasionally.
