About the Role
The role requires an established commodity and strategic sourcing professional to execute contracts, analyze supplier data, and ensure pricing, quality, and delivery meet expectations. The incumbent will develop supply‑chain strategies for existing and new products, expand the vendor base, and manage risk across the supplier portfolio. Key responsibilities include applying lean‑management tools, overseeing supplier SLAs, conducting on‑site vendor assessments, defining performance metrics, and coordinating engineering changes, product launches, and material flow. The candidate will also design supply chains that adapt to market shifts, new opportunities, and cost‑reduction initiatives. • Execute contracts aligned with sourcing goals and service levels. • Analyze supplier data and pricing proposals for cost, quality, and reliability. • Develop and implement supply‑chain strategies for existing and new products. • Expand and qualify vendor base for new product introductions. • Manage supplier risk and conduct on‑site capability assessments. • Apply lean tools and integrate suppliers to improve processes. • Monitor and enforce supplier SLAs for products and tooling. • Define and track performance metrics such as cost and quality. • Coordinate engineering changes, product extensions, and launches to ensure smooth material flow. • Design adaptive supply chains supporting market changes and cost‑reduction initiatives. • Drive supplier qualification programs and process improvements.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical) and may have an MBA from a reputable B‑school. Required experience covers sheet‑metal and heavy‑steel fabrication, 3D/2D drawing interpretation, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), PPAP, FMEA, APQP, data analysis, project management, value engineering, and strong supplier relationship skills. • Hold a B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical); MBA is a plus. • Experience in sheet‑metal, heavy‑steel fabrication, and machining. • Proficient in reading 3D and 2D drawings. • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and QC tools (PPAP, FMEA, APQP). • Skilled in data collection, analysis, and interpretation. • Demonstrated project management and value‑engineering (VAVE) expertise. • Customer‑focused with awareness of market trends. • Able to multitask in a multicultural environment and foster supplier relationships.
