About the Role

The Building Automation Technician role is based in Dallas, TX, reporting to the Construction Manager and working under the daily supervision of a Senior Technician. The position involves learning and interpreting project specifications, standards, schedules, and safety requirements while participating in on‑site coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. • Commission and startup new control systems. • Resolve communication issues among control devices. • Create, load, test, and tune system databases. • Install, replace, and recommission control devices and equipment. • Coordinate subcontractor activities on site. • Deliver on‑site training to customers. • Provide emergency and warranty services. • Maintain test records and as‑built documentation. • Follow site safety and housekeeping standards. • Support basic field startup using standard procedures. • Assist senior technicians and project managers with as‑built markup updates. • Help project managers with material delivery, logistics, and LOT management using Design 360, Prometheus, and other engineering tools.

What You Bring

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control system wiring, hardware, and software. • 3–5 years of trade or relevant work experience. • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and customer service skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Access, PowerPoint). • Basic knowledge of networking concepts. • Good conceptual aptitude and desire to pursue a career in building automation (HVAC or related systems).
