About the Role

The trainee will support laboratory operations by sampling and testing aggregates and soils, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring equipment calibrations are up to date. They will follow safe procedures, keep the lab and surrounding areas tidy, and uphold National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) standards. A valid driver’s licence is required for the travel component of the job. • Sample and test aggregates and soils, including onsite sampling. • Perform reporting, record‑keeping and equipment calibrations, flagging non‑conforming products. • Conduct laboratory procedures safely and maintain housekeeping standards. • Ensure the laboratory complies with NATA accreditation requirements. • Participate in training, mentoring and career‑pathway programs such as apprenticeships and traineeships.
