About the Role

In this role you will mold a variety of epoxy parts and may perform sandblasting, painting, and secondary operations. The job requires continuous productive activity, eye‑hand coordination, manual dexterity, and repetitive use of both hands and arms across cycles of 7 to 22 minutes. You will frequently use hand and power tools such as knives, scrapers, engravers, and air‑impact tools while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. • Operate injection molding machine to produce polymer components efficiently. • Review job orders and simple blueprints to determine molding requirements. • Set up molds, adjust parameters, and monitor production for optimal conditions. • Cycle the machine while performing secondary tasks such as deflashing, inspection, greasing, and packaging. • Inspect finished parts for defects and follow quality‑assurance guidelines. • Use hand tools (files, hammers, scrapers, air nozzles) to clean molds and maintain equipment. • Apply silicone mold release to prevent sticking. • Perform sandblasting operations as required. • Document completed jobs and report issues promptly. • Meet department targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.

What You Bring

• Minimum 1 + year of machine operation experience in a production environment. • High School diploma or GED required. • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments (scales, calipers). • Basic knowledge of machine controls, programs, and ability to read blueprints. • Strong independent work ethic and ability to meet material request requirements. • Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with production support teams. • Basic computer proficiency to handle internal applications and requests. • Competent in basic math for calculating quantities, weights, and measurements. • Detail‑oriented with solid critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

The Mold Machine Operator position works the night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. The estimated hourly base pay is $22.30, and the role is eligible for S&C’s annual short‑term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility.
