About the Role

Every role at HDR contributes to making a positive difference globally. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will support the Area HR Manager and the regional HR team in delivering essential HR services that enable the organization to achieve its mission. Key duties include maintaining employee records in the corporate HRIS, coordinating onboarding and off‑boarding, handling basic employee‑relations and performance‑management queries, and providing accurate paperwork to the corporate office. You will also prepare affirmative action plans, support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, conduct compensation market studies, answer policy questions, and help organize professional‑development training. In addition, you will manage recruitment activities such as creating requisitions, scheduling interviews, arranging candidate travel, tracking hiring decisions, supporting career fairs, and overseeing the intern hiring process. • Assist the Area HR Manager with HR tasks and maintain employee records in the HRIS. • Coordinate employee onboarding, off‑boarding, and address basic employee‑relations inquiries. • Prepare location affirmative action plans and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. • Conduct compensation market studies and respond to policy and procedure questions. • Manage recruitment activities: create requisitions, schedule interviews, arrange candidate travel, and track hiring decisions. • Organize career fairs, develop recruitment marketing materials, and oversee the intern hiring process. • Provide guidance on benefit plan provisions and refer complex benefit issues to the HR manager. • Coordinate professional‑development training for staff while ensuring confidentiality and strong customer service.

What You Bring

The preferred candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and has three to five years of HR experience, strong customer‑service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Required qualifications include at least three years of related experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and a commitment to confidentiality and the employee‑owned culture.
