About the Role

The Senior Associate, Fund Accountant is responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial preparation and review, variance analysis, REIT compliance, GAAP accounting, and income allocations, while supporting audit reporting and acting as liaison with fund administrators, auditors, and internal teams such as acquisitions, investments, capital markets, and fund management. • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support. • Prepare monthly capital call allocation files. • Review and prepare financial statements and reporting packages with variance analysis and lender/investor reporting. • Collaborate with property and development accounting teams to verify equity balances and schedule construction draw payments. • Assemble and distribute quarterly and annual financial reporting packages to lenders, investors, and internal teams. • Forecast cash needs through cross‑team collaboration and monitor upcoming transactions. • Support land and asset acquisitions by working with acquisitions, capital markets, and fund management. • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, resolve accounting issues, and address audit and investor inquiries. • Serve as liaison with the fund administrator for quarterly reporting, capital call, and distribution notices. • Reconcile individual investor capital balances and respond to investor questions. • Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. • 2–4 years of fund administration or public accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or construction accounting. • Knowledge of private‑equity fund and REIT accounting. • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with accounting platforms such as Yardi is a plus. • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment. • High attention to detail and accuracy.
