About the Role

• Assist in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems under senior engineer guidance. • Develop and modify mechanical system drawings and BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit. • Apply applicable codes and standards such as IBC, IMC, ASHRAE, and NFPA. • Support energy efficiency and sustainability goals, including IECC and LEED compliance. • Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and collect field data. • Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil teams for integrated design solutions. • Prepare technical reports, specifications, design narratives, and construction documents. • Perform construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field inspections. • Assist project managers and senior engineers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. • Participate in client and internal coordination meetings as needed. • Regular team‑building activities, happy hours, and company outings.

What You Bring

The Boston office is seeking an early‑career Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, design, and documentation of HVAC and building mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The role provides hands‑on experience with load calculations, equipment selection, AutoCAD and Revit documentation, site investigations, interdisciplinary coordination, and construction administration, alongside mentorship toward licensure. • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or engineering science. • 1–3 years of experience; internship experience preferred. • EIT certification preferred (not required). • Exposure to AutoCAD and Revit preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. • Willingness to travel 1–2 days per week to project sites in MA, CT, and RI.
