About the Role
Reporting to the Software organization and working primarily on‑site in California, the IT Specialist partners with IT leadership to keep networks, devices, and employees productive across the company’s offices and teams. • Support and maintain office networking, conference room systems, end‑user devices, and cloud tools. • Execute network and infrastructure improvement projects with IT leadership. • Provision, manage, and deprovision access to SaaS applications and internal systems. • Perform on‑site installation, configuration, repair, and replacement of computers, peripherals, network equipment, and software. • Provide technical support via Slack, email, phone, and in‑person, meeting defined SLAs. • Support employee onboarding and off‑boarding by preparing devices and configuring access. • Manage corporate devices and operate internal MDM services across endpoints. • Implement cybersecurity best practices and security controls as defined by IT leadership. • Track IT tickets in JIRA to completion and communicate progress, blockers, and resolutions. • Document common issues, fixes, and procedures to improve support consistency and efficiency.

What You Bring
Success is measured by mastering the IT environment within 30 days, independently managing the ticket backlog and improving response times by 60 days, and delivering a tangible improvement—such as a new SLA or automation—by 90 days. • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or 3+ years of professional IT experience. • Experience administering Active Directory or equivalent identity systems. • Hands‑on experience with office/enterprise networking equipment (e.g., UniFi). • Experience using MDM platforms to manage corporate devices. • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Office productivity software. • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. • Understanding of IT security best practices and basic security hygiene. • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment up to 50 lb. • Knowledge of authentication and identity protocols such as Kerberos, SAML, or OAuth. • Understanding of wireless networking, security configurations, and basic network planning. • Experience supporting fast‑growing or engineering‑focused organizations.
