About the Role

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and improving the facility’s exterior grounds. This includes lawns, fields, walks, pathways, roads, and parking areas to ensure they remain safe, clean, and visually appealing. • Mow lawns using hand or power mowers. • Trim and edge walks, flower beds, and walls with clippers, weed cutters, and edging tools. • Prune shrubs and trees to shape growth or remove damaged limbs using shears, pruning shears, or chainsaws. • Apply fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides to lawns, shrubs, and trees with hand or automatic sprayers. • Rake and bag or burn leaves. • Clean grounds and remove litter using a spiked stick or broom. • Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs using gardening tools. • Water lawns and shrubs with hoses or sprinkler systems. • Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks using carpentry and masonry tools. • Operate a tractor equipped with mowers, spreaders, and rollers for grounds maintenance. • Sharpen tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears using a file or knife sharpener. • Follow C&W Services and site‑specific health and safety rules.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with apprenticeship or trade‑school completion considered a plus. At least three years of groundskeeping experience on similarly sized facilities and a multi‑skill background in landscaping, irrigation, and equipment operation are required. The role demands the ability to work rotating shifts, lift up to 50 lb, operate motor vehicles, and pursue ongoing training. • High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or trade‑school completion is a plus. • Minimum three years’ groundskeeping experience on comparable facilities. • Knowledge of landscaping, irrigation, and equipment operation. • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and operate golf carts and other motor vehicles. • Willingness to continue training on new equipment and technologies.
