About the Role
Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will oversee a range of capital and maintenance initiatives, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to achieve safe, timely, and cost‑effective outcomes in an operational environment. The role demands strong governance, risk management, and performance monitoring to ensure projects meet their objectives. • Manage end‑to‑end delivery of minor capital and major maintenance projects. • Capture user and client requirements and translate them into clear scopes of work. • Develop project briefs, budgets, schedules and approval documentation. • Prepare tender packages, evaluate submissions and award contracts. • Coordinate and manage contractors and consultants on site. • Lead project governance, including risk management, reporting and forecasting. • Conduct site inspections, audits and project meetings. • Monitor performance against KPIs and escalate issues as needed. • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and AMC CUF users. • Ensure works comply with safety, environmental and quality standards.

What You Bring
Ventia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Australian Marine Complex Common User Facility (AMC CUF) in Henderson. This fixed‑term position runs until the end of July 2027, with the possibility of extension into the 2027/28 financial year, and supports a diverse portfolio of minor capital works and major maintenance projects within one of Western Australia’s key maritime precincts. The ideal candidate brings formal qualifications or substantial experience in project management, engineering, or maintenance management, and is proficient with tools such as MS Project, MS Office, and preferably SAP or Power BI. A proven track record in delivering minor capital works or major maintenance projects, along with experience in construction, infrastructure, or maritime settings, is essential. You should also be adept at interpreting technical documentation and managing contractors on active sites. • Hold qualification or substantial experience in Project Management, Engineering or Maintenance Management. • Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, MS Office; SAP/Power BI beneficial). • Proven experience managing minor capital works and/or major maintenance projects. • Background in construction, building services, infrastructure or assets; maritime experience valued. • Strong contractor and subcontractor management capability. • Ability to interpret drawings, scopes and technical documentation. • Experience developing schedules, cost estimates and reports. • Experience working on active or operational sites.
