About the Role
In this role you will perform general labor on aerial and underground construction projects, including digging trenches, unloading materials, and preparing job sites. You will operate fiber-blowing equipment, place conduit, read maps, and support material and vehicle movement under foreman direction. All tasks are performed following strict safety procedures and equipment certification requirements. • Dig trenches and prepare job sites using hand tools. • Unload building materials and assist with material placement. • Operate fiber-blowing equipment to install fiber optic cable. • Read and follow project maps and design schematics. • Support trench digging, closing, and material movement. • Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance, including cleaning and landscaping. • Follow prescribed safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. • Operate certified trucks, bucket trucks, and other construction equipment. • Tow flat-bed trailers as required. • Conduct aerial and underground work per training and direction. • Troubleshoot RF and fiber line or equipment issues. • Construct and repair underground RF and fiber services. • Safely climb poles using climbing equipment. • Relocate and move RF and fiber services. • Adhere to NESC safety guidelines.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong safety mindset, high-quality workmanship, and problem-solving abilities. Required qualifications include a valid driver’s license with a clean record, ability to lift 70 lb, map and schematic reading skills, climbing certification, and experience with RF and fiber overhead construction. Strong communication skills, flagger certification, and knowledge of NESC guidelines and network architecture are also valued. • Learn and become certified on line trucks, cable reels, saws, and drills. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record. • Lift and carry up to 70 lb safely. • Possess climbing certification or related experience.
