About the Role

The Director will drive innovation, sustaining engineering, and cost optimization across a diverse product portfolio, leading a global organization and multiple cross‑functional teams. This position will be critical in advancing Eaton’s digital infrastructure capabilities to support edge computing, data centers, and hybrid IT environments during a period of hyper‑growth. • Lead a global, high‑performing management team of hardware, software/firmware, mechanical, and test engineers. • Define and execute engineering strategy for data‑center infrastructure solutions, including high‑voltage DC power, in‑row cooling, and connectivity products. • Collaborate with data‑center customers and internal stakeholders to capture evolving hyperscale, edge, and modular requirements. • Oversee new product introductions (NPI), aligning them with customer needs, technology trends, and revenue targets. • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management to ensure seamless product lifecycle management. • Drive initiatives to reduce product costs while preserving performance and quality standards. • Maintain a technology roadmap focused on digitalization, energy efficiency, and emerging trends. • Manage engineering activities across global design, manufacturing, and support sites, promoting knowledge sharing. • Champion the adoption of Eaton tools and systems to increase engineering efficiency. • Ensure D‑IT product platforms meet performance, scalability, and reliability demands of modern data‑center environments. • Build and retain high‑performance teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. • Provide leadership as a “leader of leaders,” overseeing global engineering oversight.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred) and have at least 15 years of progressive product‑engineering experience with a multinational leader. Required expertise includes leading teams that develop data‑center infrastructure for hyperscale or colocation environments, global oversight of engineering functions, and strong background in power electronics, digital technologies, product development, lifecycle management, and new‑product introduction.
