About the Role

The role involves assisting with subsurface investigation programs, site reconnaissance, slope stability evaluations, and development of design and construction deliverables such as reports and drawings. Candidates will also perform analyses for power delivery, transportation, and facilities projects. • Plan and execute subsurface investigation programs using drilling and geophysical techniques. • Conduct site reconnaissance and evaluate slope stability for soil and rock slopes. • Prepare geotechnical reports, correspondence, design drawings, and specifications. • Develop and implement geotechnical site characterization plans including subsurface exploration and laboratory testing. • Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining structures, anchors, soil nails, and cut/fill slopes. • Provide geo‑construction observation during project construction phases. • Travel as needed to GFT offices, client sites, or project locations, including overnight travel.

What You Bring

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, have 0‑3 years of geotechnical experience, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and field observation skills. Preferred qualifications include EIT certification, experience with geotechnical software, or a Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering.
