Job Highlights
About the Role
• Resolve technical issues reported via ServiceNow on‑call. • Collaborate with network, software engineering, and application teams to restore services. • Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems. • Perform routine hardware maintenance, including adding, removing, and replacing components. • Deploy OS patches and upgrades using SCCM Software Center. • Provide remote support for telework and home users. • Ensure applications function over VPN and Citrix. • Manage user relocation requests and device encryption. • Perform local on‑site cabling and support enterprise network/security centers. • Restart and replace network switches and routers as directed. • Deliver wireless services and assist with mobile device issues. • Offer Tier 2 support: hardware troubleshooting, OS reinstalls, device swaps. • Support asset inventory tasks and property receipt. • Process computer equipment for disposal and ensure data wiping. • Follow disposal policies and prepare equipment for disposal. • Troubleshoot video‑conferencing and audio/video equipment. • Work with support staff for remote troubleshooting and repairs. • Set up presentation devices and video‑conference units. • Assist with pre‑ and post‑application releases. • Gather, analyze, and report end‑user support trends. • Obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

What You Bring
Oneida Technology Services (OTS) is hiring a full-time Junior Field Engineer to work on-site at the USCIS facility in Camp Springs, Maryland. The position is fully on-site and requires the incumbent to provide technical support, system maintenance, and user assistance across a range of enterprise services. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. • Minimum qualifications: high school diploma (0‑2 years experience) and U.S. citizenship. • Demonstrate high technical proficiency and strong problem‑solving abilities. • Preferred: 6 months experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh hardware/software. • Preferred: Microsoft Operating Systems certification. • Preferred: Familiarity with SCCM remote resolution and software deployment. • Preferred: CompTIA Network+, A+, Server+, and Security+ certifications.
