MEP Sales/Technical Director - Defence

About the Role
The role leads the growth of MEP design revenue within the Defence & Security sector business unit and is responsible for service quality delivery of the discipline’s projects. It supports the implementation of strategy to ensure service excellence and profitable growth. The position reports to the Defence & Security Sector Leader, Business Director, Defence Design Lead, Defence & Security Primes, and Contractor Lead. • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities and expand the client base in Defence & Security. • Build and maintain enduring client relationships to ensure satisfaction and organic growth. • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet sector targets. • Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities. • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and interviews for new and existing clients. • Provide regular growth, pipeline, and performance reports to senior management. • Mentor junior team members and foster a high‑performance collaborative culture. • Contribute to the MEP business plan and ensure team alignment with its goals. • Ensure deliverables meet company standards and client expectations for quality and service excellence. • Lead and develop a diverse engineering team, reviewing performance and skill development. • Maintain deep knowledge of Defence & Security MEP requirements, standards, and regulations. • Obtain and maintain SC clearance; DV clearance is advantageous.

What You Bring
Arcadis seeks candidates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, at least 15 years of MEP industry experience, and preferably existing client contacts in the Defence & Security sector. A demonstrable portfolio of successful pursuits, knowledge of sector standards, and ability to obtain SC clearance are required. Experience with USVF facilities, DV or SC clearance is advantageous.
