About the Role

Key duties include reading blueprints and specifications to determine material scope, selecting appropriate tools, and identifying safety risks with necessary precautions. The incumbent will prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe systems, install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges, and conduct tests to verify quality. Load hoisting using rigging equipment is performed as needed, and the position may occasionally supervise helpers or laborers. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials • Identify required tools for tasks • Identify safety risks and required precautions • Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications • Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges per plans and specifications • Perform tests to ensure quality of pipe and piping systems • Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment • Occasionally oversee helpers and laborers

What You Bring

The role requires at least four years of experience as an industrial pipe fitter and the ability to read and interpret technical prints. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills, as well as manual dexterity and reading comprehension. Experience on industrial construction or maintenance projects and the ability to work both independently and as a team player are essential. A commitment to Zachry’s values and safety regulations is also required. Preferred candidates are Zachry ROF’ed or former employees, hold NCCER certification, and possess formal or technical education.
