About the Role
The engineer will manage the full PSB scope, from defining system requirements with clients to delivering complete solutions on site. Responsibilities include designing ventilation, static‑pressure and sound‑attenuation systems, preparing engineering calculations and drawings, verifying manufacturing documentation, and leading bid‑leveling activities with vendors. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, coordinating between sales, engineering, project management and vendors, and presenting technical updates to executive leadership. • Design and develop walk‑in enclosures, housings, and system integrations for generator sets, KPP, BESS, and related equipment. • Define system requirements and perform ventilation, static‑pressure, sound‑attenuation, and piping calculations according to industry codes. • Develop the complete PSB scope from concept through onsite delivery, managing customer requirements and design changes. • Verify manufacturing drawings, P&I diagrams, schematics, and data sheets for compliance with design specifications. • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and equipment specifications using Rolls‑Royce and industry standards. • Lead bid‑leveling activities, review vendor proposals, and select effective design concepts for new or improved products. • Mentor associate engineers and coordinate among sales, internal engineering, project management, and vendors. • Deliver technical presentations to executive management and site teams. • Ensure adherence to RRSA quality procedures and promote compliance with the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.

What You Bring
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Application, Combustion or Automotive Engineering, and possess at least five years (or nine years) of mechanical engineering experience in design, field service, application, sales or manufacturing. Required skills include strong knowledge of reciprocating internal‑combustion engines, AC/DC power concepts, and the ability to read P&I and mechanical drawings. Proficiency with MS Office, BIM360, CAD tools, SAP, Windchill, Creo, MS Project, and control‑system/PLC platforms is essential, as are excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities. • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship; Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Application, Combustion, or Automotive Engineering. • Minimum 5 years (or 9 years) mechanical engineering experience in design, field service, application, sales, or manufacturing. • Willingness to travel up to 30% for business trips. • Strong knowledge of reciprocating internal‑combustion engines, exhaust treatment technologies, AC/DC electricity, and mechanical drawing interpretation. • Proficiency with MS Office, BIM360, CAD tools, SAP, Windchill, Creo, MS Project, and control‑system/PLC platforms. • Excellent oral and written communication, problem‑analysis, and independent work skills. • Preferred: Professional Engineer license, OSHA 30 certification, commissioning/testing experience.
