About the Role
The Shipping Loader/Unloader prepares products for delivery and reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. The role requires the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, strong attendance, and basic mechanical skills. Responsibilities include loading and unloading glass, assembling containers, labeling, weighing, packing, completing clerical tasks using shop‑floor computers and RF equipment, and inspecting products for quality. • Load and unload glass from tables, rolling racks, trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily • Assemble boxes, crates, or containers • Label and mark containers, inserting lining or padding to protect items during shipment • Weigh, measure, and count product • Pack items according to shipping needs or supervisor specifications, ensuring accurate packaging • Complete clerical tasks using shop‑floor computer and RF equipment • Conduct inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications and are undamaged
